Day 119: My Lazy Bun!

I had to scramble and get dressed this morning and this was what i came up with. When i finally got to look in the mirror, i loved what i saw! The little wisps of hair on top gave this bun some personality! A great surprise!

I was rolling on a two day euphoric trip with debra! I didn't even have to rebraid to get this! She totally loves me! I know it!

Day 101: I Love My Hair

What did i get when i unbraided my braid out today??? This freakin loveliness!!! I stops right about my shoulders in a somewhat even look! Can i say how much i love this look?? Am i the o nly one that see that this a wavy look? I've been called every variation of curly top! C'Mon people!!

Day 98: Leaving In My Conditioner.

I haven't bought a leave-in in sooo long it ridiculous! And after my fourth of July swim i decided to just leave the conditioner in to give my hair a lil bit more moisture! So far it has been working wonders! My curls are more defined and my hair is softer! Even after like a week of product on it!! Let's see how that affects the end of my heat-less summer!

Day 75: Saying Goodbye to 10 Days Of Straight Bliss!!

Boys to men were so right! It's soo hard to say goodbye! Haha. I'm happy I had a reason to straighten my hair. I was able to see how great my no heat and shea butter/watering mix was helping me to retain length! I haven't seen this much growth since i started my journey! I'm proud of myself! And can't wait til October when I'll be done and will be able to wear it how I want to! :)

Day 66: Happy Two Years To Me!! :):):)

Two loooong years later and my hair is finally on the right track!! I'm happier with Debra nowadays! I know how to style her and I take smarter risks when trying to do new stuff! She is longer. Softer. Thicker!! I'm happy to say I am MBL! Yup!

Day 59: My Hair Inspiration!

I found her! The lady with whom I want my Lovely Tresses to resemble! Length & thickness wise!! She has style, she has grace! And she is my GRANNY! I never really looked at her for inspiration because her hair grade is totally different from mine! Plus she keeps her crop cut short! But as a child and young adult she had very loongg pretty hair which she attributes to brushing it 100 times a night and trimming her ends on a full moon! O_0. Hahaha. That was the look i would give her when she gave me her rules to great hair! But this old picture turned that light bulb on and i picked her!

Day 48: Me & My Red Bow!

I wanted to add some pop to my hair! I have all this ribbon and not really doing much with it so I made this bow! I'm thinking I need to learn how to tie a bow so that the ends stick down towards my ponytail now away!

Day Forty One: Smells From The Middle!

My hair has been smelling like mildew lately. i'm thinking it's because of all the baggying at night and not really giving it enough to dry, so basically it is wet all day. It's been like a week. And i've stopped baggying. i even washed it and the smell didn't come out. The smell is really just annoying! it's like a wet scrunchy!!! aaaarrggghh! i'm going to have to do some kind of research to get this smell out of my hair! it's very annoying. wish me luck!

Day Thirty Three:Missing My Buns!

Now that I don't have to do buns this week i miss them! they were sooo neat and didn't have hairs just curling everywhere! I'm getting quite bored to be honest. And I don't want to loose all of the progress i've gotten, getting lazy. So maybe i can just do some reserch on some different styles i can do. wish me luck!

Day Twenty Four: Twisty!

I gave up after twenty minutes of trying to actually braid my hair. it wasn't working out! The braid was looking so fuzzy and mushy..(which told me to lay off of the glycerin next week)..so i just slicked it back! And i've realized that i've been bunning a lot for this week's challenge. So i decided to keep with it for today's hairstyle. The next time i try this i will do smaller twists so it can look thicker! I hate that my hair doesn't stay in place by five. I have a ton of flyaways! Gel is not working! :(. But oh well! Here's the outcome and i give itii 3/5 stars overall.

I LOVED the way the ponytail came out! It was very simple to do. All i had to do was just pin curl my hair and voila!

Day Twenty One: Ponytail BUN Challenge!!!

This week i am going to try and do nothing but ponytails. i always do the same kind of pony with like a puff of hair in the front! This week i want to open my eyes and see all the different styles i can do. Granted my hair isn't straightened and much thicker! I will attempt to try and do something different. I fear it will take me thirty minutes to do some of these styles!!! haha. especially since i don't know how to braid! we'll see! Wish me luck!!

Day Sixteen: Untwist & Go!

I was too ready to have those twists out after just three days. It just felt like it had too much build up. the first day the twists were just very soft and just looked healthy! By day three it was just too fuzzy!! I couldn't go to work like that! So i took them out with was quite quick! It was a little greasy which probably had a lot to do with how liberally i was putting on my whipped shea butter! I took them out, put on a headband and was ready to go!

Day Fourteen: Twist Up

I had decided to twist my hair for the weekend. I really had no plans to leave it in past the weekend so i didn't really slick my edges down! But i surprised myself with this "hairstyle" haha. i didn't want to go to the store with it just hanging so i just pinned it up in the back. and braided the front pieces. i liked it so much, I kept it! and decided to wear it like that for a few days. i really should have retwisted the front so it wouldn't look soo...unkempt....but hey! It was my first time. I'm thinking next month i am going to do a whole week dedicated to trying different styles with twists! I even got a compliment on the style..which i couldn't really believe because the puffs of hair in the front made me think otherwise!! haha. But here's the pics!

Day Twelve: Twist Out

I've decided to attempt a twist out! I've never seriously tried to do one with small twists because i just feel it would be too big of a hassle taking them out! so I've left it alone. TIL NOW!!!! I finally was like fuck it! It took me a while but I did it!!
